Welcome to the Murder Capital of the World! In Santa Carla, the mullets were sexy and the vampires were fruitful. When two brothers discover that not all is well in their new beach town, they enlist the help of friends in order to eradicate some Jack-Bauer-esque vampires from their existence. Filled with 80's nostalgia galore, the cult classic The Lost Boys (1987) was directed by the late and great Joel Schumacher. We honor his memory by presenting to you why this movie did not "suck." (Get it? Because...vampires). Enjoy!!!

"In the moonlight, black boys look blue." Moonlight (2016) is directed by Barry Jenkins and took home the Oscar for Best Picture in 2017. The film follows Chiron, a gay black male growing up in Liberty City, struggling with poverty, love, acceptance, and his own sexual identity. Chiron's settings and people around him turn his life around drastically, influencing him for the better or worst. The journey to destroy the stereotypes for masculinity is beautiful crafted by Mr. Jenkins in this film. The movie stars Mahershala Ali, Naomi Harris, Trevante Rhodes, Alex R Hibbert, Janelle Monae, Ashton Sanders, Jharrel Jerome, Andre Holland. As a special treat, we have a guest, friend Ian Fulton explains what the movie meant to him growing up as a gay black male. Enjoy!
